Day 1:

Travel Day

Catch your flight to your safari starting point in Kigali, Rwanda

Day 2:

Arrival in Kigali, Rwanda

Welcome to Rwanda, “The Land of a Thousand Hills.” A Camili safari guide will pick you up from Kigali international airport and transfer you to your hotel. Your accommodation will be at Kigali Marriott Hotel.

Days 3 & 4:

Volcanoes National Park

This morning we will drive to Volcanoes National Park, arriving in time for lunch and some afternoon rest. Later in the afternoon, we will visit the Dian Fossey Research Camp and learn about her pioneering work with mountain gorillas.

The following morning, we will have an early wake-up call and set out on foot to search for Mountain Gorillas. Tracking can take many hours, facilitated by experienced guides and trackers. Once we locate them, we will be able to spend one hour observing them in their natural habitat. Accommodation will be at either The One&Only Gorilla’s Nest or Singita Kwitonda Lodge.

Days 5 & 6:

Kigali

This morning we will experience the park via a forest canopy walk, then later check out and drive back to Kigali where we will spend the night at the Kigali Marriott Hotel. The following day we will check out and be transferred to the airport for your onward flight home.

Day 7:

Nairobi

We will check out of our accommodation and drive back to Nairobi, arriving later that afternoon.
